WHO WE ARE

Our Story

In 2020, after many years of working in different capacities for Insurance Carriers, their own Insurance Agencies, and National Insurance Agencies, Jeff Joffrion, Troy Jones, Mitch Lansing, and Jeff Wampold decided to come together and start a new insurance brokerage – “JJL&W.”

All four partners of JJL&W had prior careers and similar career paths at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana before becoming an insurance broker and benefits consultant, so it only made sense to team up.

With nearly a century of experience in the industry, we understand the end-to-end processes of insurance including Underwriting, Enrollment, Billing, Provider Networks, Claims, and everything in between.

At JJL&W we don’t stop at benefits, we take a holistic approach to your company’s processes and procedures including compliance, payroll, benefits administration systems and more. Our goal is to provide consulting on all aspects of your business pertaining to your employee benefits. Whether you are a large corporation with over 1,000 employees or a small employer needing coverage for owners, our team at JJL&W is ready to help take your business to the next level.

Our Philosophy & Approach

JJL&W provides a comprehensive, hands-on approach to employee benefits by combining our 4 partners’ industry experience with the technology and resources of a large, respected firm. Our mission is to utilize our expertise in employee benefits consulting and management to work with select clients who value personalized service and have a strong desire to provide excellent employee benefits to their employees.

A simple commitment to personalized service has been key to maintaining our client relationships. Our current client retention ratio is over 95%. We have endearing relationships with our clients that allow them to freely call directly, email, or meet 1-on-1 to field questions, concerns or needs. We also provide support to Human Resources and Payroll departments with enrollments/terminations, compliance, and reconciliation of insurance payment statements.

Our client experience is not uniform from one client to the next. We build our service model around each client’s specific needs and wants. With traditional brokerage services as the common thread between all clients, we consult with some clients on HR practices, Wellness Program coordination, Reward Program management, Administrative Systems, FLEX administration, etc. Others, we consult and handle new hires and terminations on a monthly basis.
