Troy Jones

Troy worked at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana for 24 years. He held multiple roles in Auditing, Marketing and Group Sales. As an Account Executive in the Baton Rouge Sales Office, Troy's role was to work with key brokers in the region to implement small business, and large corporate and municipal employer clients with Blue Cross. He was instrumental in developing and growing the Louisiana Bankers Assoc., Louisiana Assoc. of Business Industry and the Louisiana Municipal Assoc.

Troy was the first minority Account Manager and only Account Executive in the company’s 82-year history during his tenure. He was recognized as one of the company’s top producing Account Executives in the state several years in a row and received numerous awards. Troy’s experience as a successful minority agent in the corporate world prepared and encouraged him to take on the challenge of becoming an independent insurance broker and benefits consultant. In the fall of 2016, after 14 years as an Account Executive at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana, Troy decided to leave Blue Cross and further his career as an insurance professional. After starting and growing his own agency, he made a strategic decision to partner with his former Blue Cross colleague Jeff Wampold at Wampold Insurance Company, LLC to collectively grow their respective client base.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Troy is a Certified Facilitator and has served on the Board of The 100 Black Men of Metro Baton Rouge, Benevolence Board for Cox Communications, Baton Rouge Chamber of Commerce-Business Development Committee, Boys and Girls Club Board of Governors, and the Planning and Development Committee for the City of Zachary.
