Jeff worked at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana for 5 years, holding multiple roles in Sales and Marketing. He started as a Medicare specialist in 1999 and in 2000 was promoted to a preferred agent at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana, specializing in individual and group sales. In this capacity, Jeff handled many VIP clients and was often trusted by Executive leadership to handle any inquiries from their friends or family regarding insurance.

In 2004, after 4 years as a preferred agent at Blue Cross, Jeff decided to leave and start his own insurance brokerage, “Wampold Insurance Company, LLC.” Jeff and his company specialize in employee benefits such as health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and voluntary benefits as well as individual benefits such as ACA Health Plans, non-ACA Health Plans, Medicare, Medicaid, life, and disability insurance.

In the summer of 2020, after 16 years of growing his agency to become one of the largest independent agencies in Louisiana and achieving “Platinum” status with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana (1 of 8 agencies in the state with this status), Jeff and his now partners formed JJL&W Insurance Consulting Firm, LLC.
